No offense to the author, but there’s clearly a part of the story missing.  We’re never told why she was suspended..

These sound like team problems more than league problems.  If I was playing co-ed and felt uncomfortable passing to the girls on my team, I wouldn’t be playing in a co-ed league with them, or I wouldn’t have asked them to be on the team in the first place?

There was nothing to suggest that this was going to be a “deep role-playing game” when this was announced. Also, why are deeper mechanics being frowned upon in a game that also features a “simple” mode? Play that mode if you’re looking for 3D Pong with Mario characters.
