I believe she’s speaking of Jewish ethnicity, not religion. Also, I’m not saying anyone has to do anything.
I love Wes Anderson but continue to be vexed by the love Royal Tenenbaums gets. Don’t get me wrong, I see its charm, but it’s frequently invoked as his best film. For me it ranks as my personal least favorite (not counting Darjeeling Limited, the only Anderson film I still haven’t seen).
I miscounted the men, Liz! I miscounted the men!
That’s basically my take on the “why can’t a woman be Bond?” discourse. Why would a woman want to be Bond? He’s kind of a sad Cold War relic whose (toxic? depends on the interpretation) masculinity is pretty central to the character.
Will You Only Cry Twice suffice?
I know this is meant to be jokey, but fuck that trainer and fuck anyone who forces primates to work on movie/TV sets in this day and age.

“I’m sorry you feel like you’re owed an apology.” - China, to the people of Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong, the Uighurs and any of their own citizens that get thrown in jail for pro-democracy sentiments.

I love Community but boy they did not know what to do with Chang.
Its a very small bit in the episode and if one were so inclined it could be easily removed and the episode could remain as is.
On the one hand, I’m sad because this is one of the best episodes of Community and arguably one (if not the) best D&D episode ever on mainstream TV.
I’ve seen Community fans really upset about this (what a surprise, another Harmon show with almost toxic fanatics) when to be very blunt the “joke” adds absolutely nothing to the episode. His use of blackface is only referenced for one bit of shock value and the rest of Chang’s contribution to the episode makes…
