As a southerner I have thought about moving north just to get away from those days where it does snow and most people think they can just keep on going along like normal. I love to drive out in the snow to see the drastically changed scenery which we don't get often, but other people don't seem to share my caution

I think I did the exact opposite the CX 300 II let me here every time the cord rubbed against my shirt. Got some Klipsch buds and they not only fixed that issue but can be wrapped around the ear if I want. Also sounded just a tad better IMO but I think that was mainly due to a better fit.

I have the cheaper non THX logitech 5.1 they are good but I would trade them for most if not all on this list in a heartbeat.

I have some Klipsch earbuds and they came with 5 different sized tips while my Sennheisers only came with 3. Not sure of the model but both were under $50

notepad++ may have this option for basic text files I think and it has a portable version.

I use video download helper for firefox it isn't exactly a program so it may work for you gives the choice of all the resolutions and .mp4 would be really convenient if you already used firefox

I know the desktop version has recently switched to allow add-ons by default as long as they are ffx 4 compatible. That being said it is really up the the developer if they stay updated and useful a lot of add-ons have alternatives that are more recent so you may search around for that.

Usually there will be a cheap kit for the type of stuff you want to get in to. Don't buy this but look and see what's in it, keep that in mind and look for deals on some of the basics.
