I’ve driven both a first gen Leaf and the current version and each stood out as being just a nice, normal car. Pleasant, airy cabin, normal controls, smooth and quiet and, with the current version, pretty normal looking. It’s less expensive than the EVs that get all the headlines and still qualifies for the Federal

Everyone needs to grow the fuck up. It's a joke.

I’m not sure this is great from a business-travel perspective, which is when I typically rent cars. I’m already juggling a bunch of priorities when booking my travel, and coordinating recharge stations is not something I want to add to that list.

One of my favorite spending what the fucks locally was the person running our airport in BHM (around 3M passengers a year) making more than his equivalent at ATL (over 100M passengers a year), literally one of if not the, many years, busiest airport on the planet.

There is nothing more expensive than trying to run a service on the cheap.

When is a tractor not a tractor?

A long time ago, my mother was looking for a cushy minivan because she has trouble getting in and out of a vehicle and needs enough space to carry a walker.

Why are you comparing a Honda Civic to a BRZ/GR 86?

I don’t think Honda was trying to cater to pretentious audiophiles when they created this car.

I wish hatchbacks didn’t have to be so “fastback”. Imagine how much more cargo capacity this would have if it were more squared off like a VW golf or Ford Focus. The cargo capacity would split the gap between the HRV and CRV.

That’s not a fair comparison though because they aren’t even remotely the same cars.  One is a FWD four-door quasi-hatchback.  The other is a two-door two-seater...

It’s a $22k car... you really think any of your listed brands would come in it?  Get a bit more realistic on what to expect for your money.  Bose is perfectly fine here.

Manual Integra confirmed

The old integra was also a slightly stretched civic with a hatchback option, so this wouldn’t be too far off. Low redline is probably indicative of some K20C variant under the hood - I don’t think they can make the super high-revving motors anymore for emissions reasons.

That math still ignores things like angle and temp and the additional weight for both the panel and extra transforming equipment. You’d be lucky to get 4-5 miles in the summer.

Ok, so you don’t know anything about the EQS or Mercedes products at all. And you are totally dishonest. Got it.

I agree that “range anxiety” is probably not a significant factor in this market segment. People who can afford a $100k+ car can very easily afford a second vehicle, a plane ticket, or a rental car. People buying at this end of the market are going to pick whatever they like (brand loyalty or looks). To me that makes

Fun fact. My Quadrasteer Suburban has a 35' turning radius. It actually got me in trouble last weekend when putting my 30' travel trailer in storage. I had to turn around in a tight spot and one of the tires on the trailer almost popped off the rim because of the stress of pivoting.

I have some thoughts on topics mentioned here.

Since both of them can turn a circle inside the length of my old beater truck I think the new mav would be an excellent rig for the townhouse/ weekend project person. One of the Officers I work with just pre-ordered a base model and is really excited about it.
