That still won’t do it.  Driving still has to deal with pedestrians, animals, trees that fall down, etc.

I use radar cruise control all the time, even on suburban streets with a 35 mph speed limit.  That allows me to focus more on the road and the traffic, rather than continually glancing at the speedometer.

These were completely horrid cars.  For the same money, you can get a newer Toyota or Honda that will be a far better car.

I’ve been saying for a long time that self driving cars are much further out than Tesla and the Silicon Valley bros have been claiming.  Machine learning can do some amazing things, but driving in an urban environment is a far more complex task than people think.  

These days, almost all jobs have 401ks run by independent organizations so if the company goes under your 401k is unaffected. And you can take it with you when you change jobs, which you generally can’t f you have a pension plan.

I was a civil engineer in the Northeast quite a while ago.  The corruption of the labor unions in the Northeast was enormous. They were almost all mob run. 

I don’t really like the styling of the new Z.  It just doesn’t work for me. The new 86 seems to be quite good for what it is - a lightweight drivers car.  I’m old enough that I’m more into comfort these days, so neither is on my shopping list. 

I’ve commuted in stop and go driving with a manual up until 2003. That included cars with light clutch pedals (Acura Integra, VW GTI GLX). These days, however, I prefer an automatic in stop and go driving.

When driving offroad, I greatly prefer an automatic transmission. An automatic makes it easier to start up from a stop while on an upslope without rolling backwards. An automatic is easier to ease over a rock than it is while trying to slip a clutch. An automatic is easier to startup from a stop on the beach without…

I have volume buttons on the steering wheel of my 2013 Land Cruiser.  Honestly, though, I use the volume knob on the radio more often,  it is simply easier to adjust the knob than to push the buttons multiple times. 

Who else is waiting to see how long before this gets blamed on Trump for whatever crackpot reason the left wing nutters come up with?

Cuomo agreed to step down simply because he can count: there are more than enough votes to impeach him. Cuomo bullied everyone, in both parties. Plenty of NY Democrats have been sharpening their knives for years and now finally have an opportunity for revenge against Cuomo.  He would rather resign than be impeached. 

One Cuomo down, one Cuomo left to go.

There are lots of legal preban magazines in CA and even more came in legally during the one week legal period after Saint Benitez issued his opinion on the mag capacity case.

I disagree. The side view shows the profile discontinuity between the front fender and the doors, caused by the fender vent. I think that part looks terrible.  The roof line and daylight opening looks fine, but I can’t stop looking at how the front fender profile doesn’t match the indentation of the doors.

That vent really messes up how the car looks from the side. The side view accentuates the difference in profile between the front fender and the doors.  It just looks wrong.
