I do rather miss book Ellaria. The Dorne plot in the books is kind of a mess already, and Benioff and Weiss managed to make it even less compelling in Season 5. And it's probably good that they rethought it, cut their losses, and tied off the loose ends. But nonetheless…

Oh, come on. You don't get to guilt trip people for mentioning something in the preview. If you don't want to know what's in the previews, don't come to a discussion board that doesn't have an explicit "don't talk about what's in the previews" policy. The rest of the world doesn't have to cater to you.

The writers conveyed exactly what they wanted to about Bran, I should think.

Not the whole thing, because it was long and seemed irrelevant to my point. Your original suggestion was that it would be better for Jon to tell his Lord's he's off to Dragonstone to tell Danny to fuck off. That's a transparently idiotic idea. All of his lords would view that as basically suicide

Putting yourself in someone else's power to tell them to fuck off is insane. They know that Dany's father burned a loyal vassal (Jon's grandfather!) alive for less.

Varys speaks Valyrian, I should think.

Cersei has to be killed by the Valonqar,

I mean, don't we need to get Cersei out of the way this season so we can fight White Walkers for the second half?

Theon bounced because he was experiencing PTSD, but I agree that charging Euron would have guaranteed Yara's death.

I thought Olenna's remarks, followed by Euron's attack, were a pretty clear indication that Dany quite possibly has no idea what she's doing.

Your plan is much, much worse. Going to Dragonstone to tell Daenerys he won't bend the knee would be suicidal and pointless, and everyone would recognize that. At least here he has a clear plan that makes sense.

"A Clash of Kings" would be a good title for Marwyn's history, too.

Right, right. I've just forgotten what the hell happened to him.

The northern lords provide a counterweight to Littlefinger.

What…what happened to Robin Arryn? Is he still in the Vale?

The show is *always* a mix of random scenes

But the Unsullied got their whole genitals cut off, I thought, not just their balls.

She *is* older in the TV show. TV Missandei is clearly not intended to be the same age as book Missandei.

Ellaria and one Sand Snake are still alive, so not quite done with Dorne yet.

I'm much looking forward to a Sansa/Arya reunion. Since the Brotherhood without Banners annd the Hound are also headed north, we may get an Arya reunion with them, as well.
