It falls apart when you look at it closely, though. Try to figure out the timing of Jaime's journey from Harrenhal to King's Landing vs. Roose Bolton's journey from Harrenhal to the Twins - the distance is roughly the same, but Roose Bolton manages to march an infantry force in that distance, fight a brief battle,

Right, exactly - it seems like it must have been a continuity error.

The Freys are done, I should think.

Well, yes. Though what other options does Jaime have? It's not like Dany is going to be a big fan of the guy who killed her father

Machinations that never came to anything, I suppose. Cersei outwitted her.

She has an army. Jaime took Riverrun with it.

Jon has no hereditary claim to Winterfell as Ned Stark's illegitimate son, is what I meant, so him being Rhaegar and Lyanna's son doesn't have any effect.

Oh, come on. Martin only gave Benioff and Weiss his blessing when they correctly told him who Jon Snow's mother was.

I mean, who else even is there? The Baratheon/"Baratheon" house is completely extinct now with Tommen's death. In the books, I believe the only other people we know to have Targaryen blood are the Martells, who are also all dead now on the show (well, the Sandsnakes have Martell blood, but they're bastards)

She'll join up with the Brotherhood, I'd imagine.

Loras was Mace's only son, but I don't think we know that there's nobody else more distantly related.

That was ridiculous. I think that goes beyond "people sure travel fast on this show" to the level of "continuity error"

Yup, definitely no Stoneheart, I think.

Being illegitimate also nullifies his claim to Winterfell, so it's not like that would change anything.

Those people are what we call idiots.

Olenna Tyrell and Ellaria Sand, too.

"Kiss from a Rose" also needs to be playing.

Why does allying with Theon and Yara preclude allying with Dorne or Braavos?

Of the battle episodes, Blackwater and Hardhome were both easily much better. I'd say this was probably better than the battle on the wall episode, though.

Euron is marginally stronger, maybe, but also Euron. I don't see how anyone could think that Dany made the wrong choice.
