That’s why when I have my car serviced, I only use a shop that has a lift-mounted, motion-activated drop-bear security system.

I had a 94 Mazda pickup (Ranger clone) that did the same thing. It eventually got to where it would start just by turning the bezel, but you also had to juggle the wiring harness under the dash at the same time.
