The most fun I’ve had on YouTube in the last few months has been watching Lobos Jr. play DS2 while enemies and treasures are (at least semi-) randomised. I laughed pretty hard when I saw about 15 Havels chase our man down and BAM BAM BAM him into oblivion.

For me, it helped to think of the game as a 120-hour game (that’s how long it took me to Platinum it) that included a 25-hour tutorial. I didn’t mind the linearity of it, because, as mentioned in this (great) article, FF10 was much the same way, and it was fine then.
