You can summarize by going “Point A) You are an asshole.... And that’s all I got” ;)

It depends on how desperate her need to feel like a super-special, important heroine. I honestly have a theory that some (many?) of these women are so depleted in the self-esteem apartment that this entire issue is more about feeling valuable and important than it is anything else.

The fact you’ve taken precautions and training make you a perfect candidate for safe gun ownership. You aren’t carrying it around because a homeless person might ask you for change.

Missouri, too.

I’m sure that you, clearly as a rational, thinking person, know that anecdotal evidence (e.g. “some of my pals!”) is not statistically significant.

She is threatening to shoot a homeless person begging for money? How much cash you want to bet that that woman calls herself a Christian?

Swimming pools can be unsafe for children. That’s why the AAP has made a statement that swimming pools should have fences around them.

And the odds of the attacker having one, or taking it from you, or you misfiring?

When all you have is a gun, everything looks like a target. When all you care about is the Second Amendment, everything looks unimportant.

“It’s more along the lines of it’s a logical step of preparation, like, I’m not afraid that my house is going to set on fire, but I’m going to go out and get a fire extinguisher some extra cans of gasoline, just in case.”

The 26-year-old didn’t lose her cool, but when the man refused to leave after she politely told him she didn’t have anything to give, Haggard sensed the situation was escalating.

You know how the writer screws up writing women? By thinking too much about writing “women”. There’s a quote that’s escaping me now about writing a female character is just a matter of writing a person.

“Knowing that your loved one is suicidal” is different than “I’m going to go sit in the road in front of you”

That was my thought. Of course, we don’t know the details, but a dramatic suicide in front of your significant other reeks of emotional manipulation to me (though I’m probably biased from personal experience).

Yeah I said something similar (stuck in the greys of course, boo kinja).

Dear god. My first reaction is to be disgusted with the boyfriend - but depression, suicidal tendencies, and addiction (which I assume is included here given his intoxicated state) are serious issues and I’m not sure that’s the right route. I do hope he gets help, though it’s going to be an extremely hard battle now

I wonder how much of this is done to take away power from the paparazzi. If she’s putting all these pictures out there then it takes away from Star Magazine’s incentive to take creepy stalkers shots of her 4th of July party.

This 4th has been surreal so far. Yesterday a group of guys tried to follow me home. And this morning I spent with my family before heading to DC. I get there, and my friends ditch me.”, and I get caught in the rain, and soaked. So I went to the museums by myself. And now, I’m waiting for the fireworks before heading

SO glad this made it all the way to Jezebel’s readers! The petition now has a over 30K signatures (the population of Timmins is only about 47k) I live in Northern Ontario and this quickly made it around in my group of friends earlier this week but I hadn’t really seen much media coverage other than an article on CBC.
