Yes, a typo. My internet is lagging today, and I’ve given up on going back to catch stuff. Big deal.

Well, I stated my reasons about her progressiveness in several places, and I’m confident she is one, but let’s address your thoughts about her changing her mind. You know what that tells me? She’ll abide by the will of the people. That’s what it tells me. She saw that the TPP was a concern, and she changed her mind.…
Absolutely. I’m glad she changed her mind. Too bad Obama didn’t.
That’s because you know you lost the argument. The only thing you can do now is retreat.
It’s because you’re committing logical fallacies left and right. The True Scotsman Fallacy. Ad hominem. Ignoring facts. Etc. It doesn’t make me stupid to recognize those mistakes in reasoning. I understand the ad hominem. I commit that myself occasionally. But, you are being given some tools to make better arguments.…
Haha! Actually no. Read this a few years ago and agreed. I am totally chortling at you right now, you ass.
Probably not much. The “robot” part seems apt in the name.
No other argument need to be made beyond following the Democratic platform and being open to the peoples’ wishes. Since she’s doing that, what else is there to say?
Actually, progressives have been very pragmatic and managed to change things quite nicely. They don’t have the “no compromise, no way” views of the conservatives.
You’re a jerk. And, if you’re an example of “good progressives,” we’re screwed. How disrespectful and shitty you are.
That is because you are a human being with sense. Also, you like Taylor Swift, and that shows good taste.
I’m pretty sure DrDonna isn’t anyone’s minion, you weirdo.
True. And Obama is okaying the effing TPP bullshit. So. Not as progressive as we’d like, but interestingly, a-okay by the standards of Those Who Have Proclaimed Themselves the Arbiters of All That Is Progressive.
I challenge that claim about what a progressive is. Progressives, basically, believe everyone deserves a fair shot at a good life, that is, equal opportunity. There’s a pretty clear schism in the US where some people believe that’s a good idea and some don’t.
It matters if we end up with a Republican Supreme Court nominee because you, and those that reason like you, can’t recognize a spectrum for progressives.
Here’s a definition of the “No True Scotsman” fallacy. You are definitely committing it. Maybe this will help you to understand why it’s a fallacy and why it’s harmful to all progressives not to recognize and understand the larger view, in which progressives have many feelings over many subjects, and many of those…
Good point.
Ah, yes. That thing where facts become bias because it doesn’t do what you want. I’ve seen that so much lately. Sigh. Please explain how such a large percentage (17%) is a corrupted number. Remember that you’ll need to provide your own statistics because, otherwise, you haven’t got an argument. You can’t just say it’s…
Lordy, THIS. Did she need a gun to deal with an unarmed homeless dude in broad daylight?
Very excellent comment.
