Just wanted to send out some Jezzie thanks. Asked for some curly-hair advice a couple weeks ago and based on responses I tried "plunking" and it worked like a charm.

I am not ashamed to admit that I still have a Guinea Bee terrorizing South Park as my desktop wallpaper. It is awesome.

I think Mantel is a little off in assuming her own experiences are everyone's. Do I believe there are girls more competent at 14 than some women at 30? Sure. Does that mean we should completely change our society around to suit them? I don't think so. After all, wanting to have a baby at 14 and being able to

@Sorsha: Seriously, it's all about Hotwire. I always get great deals there and it's always been a really good brand. At least check it along with avis/enterprise/etc. websites.

@hellosunshine: I like tilapia in parchment. Steams veggies along with it, so it's nice and healthy. Uses minimal butter. A nice change from the lemon/butter/garlic go-to fish I usually do.

@LVP: Hmm. If he really does like you and he's marrying someone else then he's probably a jerk.

@partiegrl: Is that the one where you live at their dorms and work at a park for a semester or so? I dated a guy while he was doing that. The group seemed to like it okay for the first month and then they bitched their way through the rest of it. (Living 6 to an apartment probably had a lot to do with it.) But I

@Penny: Epidural. I came in prepared for whatever but figured I'd go with the drugs. I think being open minded is key because virtually everyone I know who was set on doing it one particular way didn't have it work out.

@West63: I'm confused, too. Plus didn't some guy just pay a shitload of money to find out who it was about? If I was him, I'd be feeling really pissed right now.

@Tea and Oranges: So Big-with-a-capital-B fiction, eh? I'd say try some David Mitchell—specifically Number 9 Dream and Cloud Atlas. Impressive highwire stuff but also manages to be accessible and not too much work.

Yes, obviously Bigelow has it all wrong. Because girls only like girl movies and boys only like boy movies. Duh.

It's possible kids with autism will remain autistic. Certainly you can want the best and do everything you can. But the way she talks about it gives the impression that McCarthy won't be happy with her kid until her kid is no longer autistic.

At first glance I was thinking major plastic surgery. At second glance I'm agreeing with most of the others—fake tan, new hair. The boobs could just be a pushup bra. The only thing that's off is the eyes.

Stapleton says she quit to spend more time with her 2 year old daughter. But you would've thought Sarah Palin would have told her you can spend plenty of time with your kids as long as you use them as campaign props.

This sure looks unconstitutionally vague to me. That we can think of so many examples of potentially criminal behavior that are completely ludicrous, I certainly hope it's challenged. Then again, given the state of the Utah Courts, I'm not super hopeful, either.

@Jellybish (aka clever.username): I'm not saying he has no obligation. Sorry, should have been more clear. The demands in the legal proceedings have been rather crazy and totally beyond what he'd have any ability to pay. Of course he should contribute, but their child support filings make it sound like Levi's

The more I see of Bristol in the media, the more I wonder why on earth she's asking for child support. Girl's family is loaded, girl herself seems to be picking up her fair share of sizable paychecks. Levi is... well, hopefully he's still got some of that Playgirl money laying around but I doubt he gets paid for

@welshdiminutiveofMar...: I don't think it's possible for it to take until grad school to figure out if you hate chem. Biochem major back in the day, so was my husband (different school). I knew around junior year that it wasn't for me, but stuck around, graduated, then went to law school and never really used chem
