Dear UK Telegraph: before you use the word "scientists" you should probably make sure they're actually scientists. Because personally, I don't see someone with a PhD as automatically being a "scientist." And if you actually do a little fact-checking and find the article you're talking about, you would see that the

I admit, I'm confused about the issue here. Should we be demanding the President have women in his basketball games if there aren't any women in the office who want to play with him? And why is it a big deal that the boys all play basketball together? I've never known a guy who plays basketball with a group that

@annebreal: I would recommend videos, definitely. I learned through a CD-Rom, a tiny old school learn to knit book from my local knitting store (can't remember the name, but it had hearts on the cover), and the videos at my friend knittinghelp.com. I still go there whenever there's something specific I want to see.

@curiousgeorgiana: It'll be okay. You've got a lot more time than you realize. No matter what people say, most of them have no real outlines to speak of. I'd buddy up to a 2L or 3L and see if you can get copies of their outline. If you go to a school where people aren't evil about that stuff, they should be more

@JoStockton: I think that is an excellent definition of feminism! And I completely agree: you need something besides the boyfriend.

@AmbiguouslyGayUno: Oh, I had no idea there was an ATL jez page! I just thought there was a Southern one. Thanks for the link! I'm going to try and make the 4th, but can't make any promises. #openthread

@Laines: @WagaMama: Thanks a bunch, ladies. I think my hormones are still running a little wild. Plus, if I see another How I Lost the Baby Weight!!! magazine cover I think I might rip it in pieces. #openthread

@RaisedOnWhiskey: The legal market sucks right now, plenty of people don't have jobs. And if you're wanting to go government or non-profit, you're actually way more likely to find something. I spent most of my (short) career applying to firm and government jobs and never even got a phone call from the firms, but

Y'all, I need assistance. I had a baby three months ago and apparently karma is getting me for my smugness about not having gained too much weight. I am exactly the same weight I was a few weeks after delivery and I still look either fat or pregnant depending on the angle. Is it too late to use a bellaband or

@liz.lemonade: I'm feeling kind of the same way lately. I don't see a lot of it either, but I just feel like it's very college and I am not.

@JoStockton: I wish I had links for you, but I'm another who's informed by the doctor husband. I have to say, I have yet to get a piece of solid scientific info anti-vaccine. I totally get the complaints about some of the fillers, but they've pretty much been phased out, as has been mentioned. The strongest

@emdy: I believe it is generally acceptable. However, if you want to be very posh and proper, you should not use a Thank You card. So if it's a fancy or professional job, you're best off with something plain on good stock. #openthread

@American as Apple Pie: I really love the movie The Orphanage. Ever since I saw it I have tried in vain to find something else that's near as good.

@duetoprivacy: This just happened to me. I didn't even get new insurance but renewed my old insurance and they sent me new cards but then didn't have me as eligible for coverage but never bothered to mention it. When I called them someone figured out their error and fixed it, so don't be surprised if it's one of

@soelectric: Would your mom be willing to give you a break on the rent for a while if you give the Mr. the old heave ho?

@Tippi Hedren: I'd go see a seamstress first to see if it's possible for it to be altered. It's amazing what they can do sometimes. #openthread

@erinna: I like them, too. Though I go back and forth because I'm right on the line between INTJ and INFJ. That's the major flaw, I'm half a thinker and half a feeler and it makes me be one or the other. #openthread

@erinna: It's good, but definitely read Into the Woods first. It introduces the characters (although the two books follow two different characters) and makes The Likeness a little clearer. It's also the better book. #openthread

Soooo glad to see I'm not the only one having the suckiest Friday ever. I've been at home solo with my 3-month-old for 3 weeks straight. My man comes home in the evenings and helps, but it is amazing how long days can be when your baby only takes 20 minute naps.

@otherginger: Don't bother with Wolf at the Table. I did and it was definitely his worst.
