Typical genius thinking from NASCAR; if an Indy car needs only one, we should be good with three, Sheeit!

Silver is the correct color for that car, just like the Mercedes and Auto Union Grand Prix cars.

To a degree this is true in that unlike some performance cars the transition to snap oversteer is abrupt, and you better know how to counter steer or else bad things will happen.

Bad decisions cost those guys their lives. And I can understand being somewhat powerless to put the foot down in a car like that. But it might be the last thing you do.....

I have not driven one, but I imagine it's a little like diving an older 911 with a lot more horsepower and not nearly enough tire at the limit. Serious business, for sure.

Amen. If that isn't a car people own just because they can I don't know what is. Then they kick to the curb when they find out its limits are way higher than their own.

Except you will have to be on a track to be having that good of a time. It is an incredible car, no doubt, but to be driving at the limit anywhere else is irresponsible in the extreme. I am sure Roger and Paul would agree if they were alive.

You might want to read the book first. The car incident is nothing compared to the train wreck of his personal life.

Now if they just put the F-Type on a diet, they will really have something.

My dad was a trucker for a while as well. Sorry to hear you lost him, he sounded a lot like mine, always had a wrench in his hands.

I loved that color, but I can't understand why!

I was too small to remember when he had them, but my dad had a Triumph TR-3 and a Jeepster when I was very young. He was both a pilot and an aircraft mechanic, and worked on a pit crew for a sprint car driver, so I guess I never had a chance to not be an enthusiast. Was not as good a mechanic as he or my brother were,

I thought the second picture was even more “exciting”. Seriously, a straight six dohc engine is a beautiful thing. I have owned two, and would really like another one. You're stock is rising, Jaguar.

I am sure this is an awesome car, period, as well as an awesome car for the money. I do wish there was something in between this and the smaller roadster with what I still think is the holy trinity of sports car design: 3,000 lb weight, 3 liters displacement, and 300 to 400 hp. And a price under a hundred grand would

From what I have seen, you buy this car because you are the local hoon that spends his time challenging everyone at stop lights because you revel in the fact that the dude in the Mustang doesn't know what you're driving.

Thanks for continually being the voice of reason.

Of course the article is lazy, it's Jalopnik.

Most Germans would make great Muricans. Their dream vacation is to come here, dress up like Wild Bill Cody and shoot a buffalo. Seriously.

It's okay, I can look at P-51 pics all day long.

I love it- you Germans even turn humor into a science.
