Neutral: I would say it would behoove me to learn how to produce ANYTHING that is actually profitable aside from a severely over-priced pick-up truck. It sounds to me like they have no idea how to manufacture things cost effectively right now.  They literally loose money on cars, which is why they are getting the ax.

Before people get huffy over this, I submit Exhibit B...

Every time I read things like this, I become just a little more thankful I do not live in California.

“The other was the TRX wheels. Those were the factory rollers, but the sad fact is, nobody is really making tires that fit them anymore, requiring their consignment to non-active duty.”

Not sure where the ‘like’ button is, but here is my 85 getting fresh paint 7 years ago...

Seems strange to me. I bought a new 2001 Tacoma 4wd, V6 and 5MT. I regularly got 19.5 - 21.5 mpg mixed in that truck. I didn’t drive like an ass-hat but I wasn’t hyper-miling it either. Maybe you have an issue with the truck?

Pretty much seals the deal on my sadness that the nod to the E46 is something like a headlight treatment rather than, you know, a manual transmission.

I agree with you about 20%. The issue I have with our dealership model is excessive incentive to move cars extremely quickly. There is no incentive to stock a variety of trims and power train combinations because it costs the dealers too much. Once the dealer has the car, they are paying the financing/credit for them.

Have various systems of measurement is completely stupid.

Neutral: No, they are just a case-study at this point. I love how convenient it is for people to point to the tax cuts and bitch about republicans and/or point to the bailout and bitch about democrats when it comes to GM making a strategic move. Ultimately, there are a multitude of factors at play here. First, any

My bad, I was considering the objective, utility of the vehicle rather than the lifestyle purpose...

“Nearly useless”.  I guess you can put some groceries in it the bed.

Well with 2 less doors and smaller footprint you could still come up with a much larger and more useful bed. That said, I don’t understand the question.  Where did I write that I wanted a ‘large Wrangler pickup’?

When that alleged diesel can be paired with a 6MT, we’ll talk.

I get it... just way too much build-up, only bested by Toyota with the ‘new’ Supra.

Seriously?!?!  All that build-up for a Wrangler with a nearly useless bed?  I guess I half expected them to update the styling to distinguish it from the Wrangler some.

By banning this insulting robbery of the public till outright, business will continue building, and investing, and locating, and relocating. “

I believe that is the modus operandi

The fun part about that term is that Wells is located in Charlotte, JUST LIKE THIS COMPANY...
