Funny joke, but this is the first year where DC United isn’t playing at RFK.

Public ownership in any form to my knowledge. They don’t want that option on the table since if it was on the table cities and localities would start asking for ownership shares in trade for stadium money, not to mention that none of them want to make their real books public.
The MLB bans similar Green Bay-style arrangements as well. The widow the Padres owner, Joan Kroc, tried to set the team up like Green Bay owned by the citizens of San Diego, after her death and was told in no uncertain terms that the MLB would cancel the franchise rather than let that occur.
The human brain has all sorts of filters to remove unnecessary information, so after a while they probably just tuned it out and didn’t even think of it. I lived about a mile away from the end of a runway for like 5 years and by year two it was just tuned out as background noise.
I would add he only got as far as he did, because everyone else had withdrawn early since taking on a Clinton campaign would of been a waste of money. Had it been a crowded field he wouldn’t of made it to the first primary, but as the last person standing he got a lot of protest votes again basically politics as…
No, almost all the rail lines are privately owned so if they don’t want to run a train on them it’s up to them, the US Government doesn’t care one way or another.
San Juan is closer to New York than New York is to Denver. It’s not that far. There are other strike economically against San Juan, but distance isn’t an issue.
No. The dragons are still lead actors, but only because no one had the guts to tell them they should be supporting actors. The producers just left them as lead, since they weigh 2 tons and breath fire and as such didn’t want to piss them off even more.
Yea. “So You Think You Can Dance” definitely needed 4 separate entries in that category. I mean it has dance right in the title.
A show had to air from 1 Jun 2017 to 31 May 2018. Zahn’s episode, “Kiksuya”, aired on 10 Jun 2018, so it’s eligible for the 2019 Emmy’s not the 2018 Emmy’s.
Meh, they reacted the same when B. Clinton was elected in 1992 and 1996 and would of done the same if the Democrats had nominated a bland white dude instead of Obama. They’re more angry that people had the gaul to vote for someone who wasn’t them and that those people have power when they win elections.
Yea but if ratings are dropping cable providers can decide not to carry it if the costs outweigh the number of subscribers they’d lose is less than the cost of keeping it around. That hurts the networks ability to both charge outragous carriage fees and force the cable companies to put them and The other channels…
Like the family in Back to the Future they faded away. Except for Deke.
And possibly expecting.
That’s not techncially true since Atlético Madrid will occasionally win a title in Spain and Sporting will occasionally win in Portugal.
A Washington D.C. team hadn’t advanced to its sport’s final four since the Caps did it in 1998, 20 long years ago.
They do show their movies in theaters in Los Angeles and New York to allow films to qualify for things like the Oscars. Limited releases in theaters isn’t the problem as the Oscar qualifications only require a week exclusively in theaters to qualify. After that week streaming can start.
Yea a day off after would be ok, it’s the lost revenue that’s the issue.
Empirically you don’t make it up.
You maximize revenue if you only have one game a day. Also if the whole doubleheader is rained out it makes rescheduling both games a pain.
