I’m a Royals fan, so I have to have some rooting for the Padres to get one going this year and make some noise too since Hos is out there. On the choke tube - you can get a replacement manual choke cable assembly off a ‘60's Ford Truck that might work if you have the option of switching to a manual choke.  LMC (and many others) make this part and can get it to you in a few days.
