goddamn it *They’re*

On this very site I commented about how much the self check and the grocery pickup services have accelerated in my area over the past three years. That was about a year or so ago and it’s just gone further and faster since then. It’s actually getting challenging to navigate my local WalMart on a Saturday morning due

It can be tough to be human to your kids - we want them to know they are loved and safe and that we, as adults, have it together.

I would say just about every decent hand tool that I’ve purchased fits this. Fello wood handled screwdrivers are the latest ones that really fit - they feel good and are lasting well. Even power tools can fit this (sometimes) - bought a DeWalt cabinet table saw at a garage sale for $425. I’ve saved that much in gas

Jeff Foxworthy has the joke “Why are divorces so expensive?  Because their usually always worth it.”

Not looking forward to it, but I will absolutely have this conversation with my boys. Looks like I need to do this sooner than I was planning. I was hoping this could wait until maybe they were 8 or 9, but they absolutely need to have an understanding of suicide.

I see more Ford Taurus front end than Fusion, but maybe that’s me.

“best price we’ve seen since Black Frida.”

“best price we’ve seen since Black Frida.”

That’s exactly the type of behavior I would expect from an engineer that is going to make a very dangerous mistake during his career.

Yes - was just going to ask what he was an engineer over so that I could avoid that entire industry until he retires or decides to pursue another career.

+1 bottle of poorly applied Rain-X to you

Check out his visit with Sean Evans on Hot Ones (on YouTube). It was so popular to hate on him as he was such a cartoon-type character for a while, but (like many here) I’m glad to see that we’ve cooled our jets on picking out targets for derision.

And your solution is....? Socialism? Communism?

shhh.....shhh....shhh - stop that darn thinking! You’re supposed to swing through the wild emotions that our overlords in the press want us to.

We have a fingerprint safe for our single pistol. About every two years I take the gun out, put it someplace safe, and ask the boys to come with me and make sure their fingerprints can’t open the safe either. If that ever changes and they somehow can open the safe with one of their fingers, the pistol will go away

I think that (depending on your child) you are closer than you think to a time when you can introduce them to target shooting. I’ve had my oldest around at a few outdoor shoots since he was 3. He’s always seen us having fun, being safe, and being in control. He shot a .22 a few months ago for the first time (at 5 1/2)

Came here to say just that about potato peels - they compress into cement and WILL NEVER GO DOWN A DISPOSAL.  How was this not first on the list?

I do the same and swap Immodium multi symptom for the Pepto.  I keep similar items in my laptop bag for work travel as well.  Nothing worse than being in the middle of nowhere and up against it with either your stomach or sinuses completely derailing your effectiveness.

Just Joey Crawford having one of his ‘look at me’ conniption fits with a whistle in his mouth.

I’m just going to leave this here:
