Exactly. And as you get more sophisticated in taste, but may still be on a budget, those blends make great Thursday evening drinks. The ‘it’s not the weekend and I’m only having one, so let’s have something good but not the Glenmorangie’ drink.

I’d go more towards a Dewars White Label blended for an intro scotch. If you don’t like it straight, you could always mix it with soda without shelling out a ton of money.

I was just about to comment to that effect. These camps had Poles and Czechs and French running them in different areas. Yes, they were mostly run by Germans and these other nationalities are the exception. But these were Nazi institutions.

California should also remember that the Spanish Californians living there that worked and fought to get that state as part of America were immediately second class citizens (if even allowed to be citizens) when that state became a territory and state.
