I agree, and I don’t know how to solve this. One thing the local school district here as started that might be a compromise is Magnate schools around certain areas (Music, STEM, Core).

I was discussing this with my wife last week. I like the prospect of vouchers and charter schools. We have great private school options in our area, but they can get expensive (top one is currently $15,000 per year for High School per student).

On heavy equipment, they also sometimes put water in the tires as extra weight and stability. I wonder if that was in play and increased the overall conductive properties of the wheels.
