Yes, but Francona wasn’t his coach was he? I think that’s the joke, they coached together but Cash would have never seen the field on one of Francona’s teams.

The year after that - the dog too.
+3/5ths of a star for you.
Here’s my concern with that mode of operation, and you can look up the bodycam footage of this. There was a sherrif’s officer in Oklahoma a few weeks ago that was serving a guy eviction papers per the law. The guy talks to him, doesn’t seem agitated, and then pulls out a pistol and shoots the officer dead.
If he goes the way most Jayhawks in recent memory have, it’ll be way too early for his talent level at the hands of an opponent from the Missouri Valley or MAC with the name starting with ‘B’.
+1 Better Every Loop
Except...and this is just judging by the state of our inner cities and elderly poor..he can’t say that either.
Tell you what, I’ll keep betting on me and you can bet on Uncle Sam - regardless of administrations/parties - and I can almost guarantee you that I’m going to come out ahead. Any of us would. I want to be clear, I’m not special and neither are you but each of us is going to do better than the government.
Any thoughts on using the oven to make a roux a la this recipe from Alton Brown:
Agreed - I picked a higher number for simpler math. If you put in half that amount, you’d be looking at half the return - so $133k to your name for you to draw from to supplement your SS income.
Very near that - let’s just say I can walk to Il Vicino without breaking much of a sweat.
Also - I have averaged better than 7% returns in 401K over my working career (over 10 years to date). And that’s in crappy target retirement funds.
I’m so glad that someone else out there can do the math on this stuff and thinks that the only way we get out of this situation is to allow some true ownership of these funds.
I’d like to know what everyone’s opinion would be looking back and GWB’s plan to privatize a small portion of your SS contributions. I think it was either 10 or 20% would be guaranteed for your use and you would choose the investment vehicle.
Were you channeling this with your last comment:
Eff this noise and get me a UNIMOG. I want something that will actually make it off road.
The Kia Sedona feels more like an SUV, is better priced, and can be had with more limited features and less to break than this Pacifica. I run a Toyota Sienna with more features than the minimum, but not fully loaded like this.
Dad of 2 in car seats and former SUV driver. Six months in a minivan now. Do not fear the minivan - it’s a great tool. You can find very good used ones out there as well so don’t think you have to go new. If you get one, get the power sliding doors. The manual ones get slammed too hard and can jump off the rails…
If it started at the back it was probably a brake fire due to a locked up caliper. It happens on big rigs fairly frequently.
Yeah, a bit. We also don’t have as much spring thaw flood worries as eastern SD does and we don’t get nearly as cold. But probably very similar to, say, Sioux Falls.
