I don’t want this to sound racist or sexist, but here’s a story.

Gotta be careful with extra cocoa powder - really ups the acidity and bitterness if you’re not careful. Usually the better fix is a bit more salt and fat (cream or butter).

This also works for easy kid-friendly recipe hacks - we call them muffin corn dogs. Just use the regular corn mix and drop in a slice of your favorite hot dog into a mini muffin. Bake as normal. They come out as corn dog bites that are very good with ketchup for the kids or a bit of spicy honey mustard for adults.
