I had a friend explode about this recently because she is Bangladeshi. A mutual friend of ours said that manspreading is a symptom of rape culture. My Bangladeshi friend exploded and said it’s nowhere near rape culture compared over to Bangladesh where the threat of rape is real and terrifying.

If you’re looking for comfort on public transportation you’ve already lost. Just grit your teeth and try not to think about how many asses you’ve inadvertently touched by 10:00 AM

maybe it would have been nominated if it was a polar bear

boobs bad, dudes head butting each other into concussions good.

Does Trump ever think about the fact that has also been accused of rape? You know, that same- ‘horrible thing?’ Why doesn’t anybody attack him, the actual candidate?

Glass houses, stones, etc.

Yeah, I mean, I’m not on board with them either, but I’m thinking that’s the reason he made them. The point I agree with, the jokes I do not.

Yes. He was great.

I’ve been steamed about this whole thing when I first started to see the stories emerge online. And the advice to the women...to keep at arms distance, don’t talk to strangers, walk in pairs, etc. What BS. Makes me sick.

Not surprising that the first in her field is a Latina. Latina women ROCK. TBH, I am very anglo and married one some 37 years ago. Three sons and then three grandsons later and she is still a gourmet cook. Love that woman!

Man do I have complicated feelings about this. As a father of daughters I’m very much you go girl about it. But as a veteran who had plenty of interaction with combat troops when i was on active duty my worries are that these poor girls are going to get sexually harassed and assaulted like nobody can believe. Many

I don’t think women should be sent into combat, but then I don’t think men should be sent into combat, either.

Did you seriously just come back to this thread, days later, to make a snarky remark about my intelligence?

1: Her friend asked her to be on the panel when she was in her third trimester, and then again after she had the baby, I’m sure she knew the author would be bringing her baby.

Have you ever seen someone shoot eye daggers at mothers for deigning to bring their child someplace at all? I sure have. Just because someone mentioned that the baby made a noise doesn’t mean that the situation was unreasonable.

Do you work in total silence? Does your annoying co-worker never come talk to you?do you not hear other conversations, phones ringing, etc?

Nope, no medal required. Just reminding everyone that having babies is not the same as adopting a pet. It really is a JOB. And people could stand a little more patience for the process, even if they can’t relate.

So, because one woman somewhere can’t bring her kid to work, we should deny the women in my office the option of bringing their kids to work, even though they’ve been doing it for ages, with no consequences? I’ll walk down my hallway, and tell Maggie to get the kids out, because it’s not fair to Target Lady that

Right. Because children are an abomination, whereas refusing to mute your phone is the hallmark of the sophisticated.

We should start a club! we can call it “Strangers Cannot Really Empathize Without Offensive Fact Findings” or S.C.R.E.W. O.F.F. for short. (I realize how much I stretched there but trust me it was way easier than attempting F.U.C.K. O.F.F. instead)
