Agree on everything except the Whooplesnoot delete. The Whooplesnoot totally transforms the car... I honestly don’t know why it’s even an option to go without it.

Actually I think it’s the opposite - if the 911 really speaks to you, you’re going to want to try lots of generations/variants. If you spend any time on the forums you’ll see a lot of Porschefiles have gone through more than a few 911s over the years... Every flavor can be appreciated for slightly different reasons. I

I stand corrected!

Oh gawwwd the rear visibility. Have you driven the coupe, Doug? If not, this will get pretty close to simulating the experience:

After talking to some dealers, I honestly don’t think there will be a 2nd generation, at least in the states. The 4C was meant to be their big splash to re-introduce the brand and get people excited about the mass market cars (e.g., Giulia) in advance. They’re not making any money on them - it’s a 6-wk production

Insurance on the 4C is actually super-cheap. I got quoted for less than my S5 (which isn’t worth as much). They may not have enough history on Alfas to price the insurance properly.

Are you opposed to pre-owned? Right now there are a few listed for well under 60k.

It’s certainly hard to argue with the Lotus on price - about half the cost of a used Alfa in the States.

Alex - enjoyed your videos on both cars. Didn’t get the sense that you disliked the 4C that much? Have you had a chance to drive it again after the first review? Curious where else it falls short

I’m in the same boat - unless you want to pay way over sticker for the M2 you’re looking at a 1+ year wait. I’m going to do 4C now, have fun for around a year, then trade it in for an M2 later next year.
