Me either. I think the ending left room for him to be alive.

Personally I like her dynamic with Jonathan. Also now that I'm thinking about it.. If it wasn't for Nancy and those photos.. Jonathan world not have reason to believe his mom or set off to find Will. Nancy is pretty key to Jonathan's character.
So unfortunate. Poor Benny.
#2 is what I felt was important for the storyline. Good point about her death upping Will's peril. I didn't really think about that. Possibly just feeling like they were always going to find Will. Don't get me wrong, poor Barb was a good person, didn't deserve to die. But, I'll stand by that I'm totally okay with them…
I echo the movie point as well. I'm okay with an 8 hour movie if its this good. I actually prefer back to back to back LOTR upon rewatch. The length of the series seemed pretty on point to me. Any longer would've needed more filler, back story etc. which I don't think was necessary. Shorter, I would've felt deprived…
Same! I posted above as well. Just saying, I don't really care that much about Barb as a character. I don't need screen time to see grieving for someone that isn't essential to the story (but, thanks for getting Nancy jump-started) and we already knew was likely dead anyways. Get back to the foursome. Not sorry, Barb.
When asked both of those questions..Ted Wheeler was like "no way, not my kids" completely clueless and Karen in her mind was like, "damn it, my kids" acknowledging they both slipped major infractions right past her.
I also remember someone saying something about 2 hunters going missing at some point…
I'm just going to say I don't care about Barb as a character. You pretty much knew she was going to die when all the partying at Steve's house started (or likely before that if you were really trying to figure out who was going to make it out of the series alive). And I think that is why no time was spent on her. I…
Right, what happened to seeing a dirty, shaved-head, rabid looking young girl and giving her a meal on the house? Probably had a toaster in the breakroom to hook her up with some hot eggos.
Right, I appreciate his realness and level of skepticism. He's a friend whose second guessing would keep you from getting ambushed. Also appreciate his dedication to Will.
Dustin is more level-headed. And, yeah I got tired of the weirdo bit too. But I understood where he was coming from though. He's just placing his friend as a priority over what seems like a distraction and then somewhat of a threat with El.
Her immediately recognizing the douche of a manager as mouthbreather was awesome. Spot on, El. Spot on.
I'm totally fine with Lucas. Voice of reason. These kids have known each other forever. One of their friends go missing and then everyone is distracted by a girl with super powers who intentional leads them astray and seems like she's hiding an awful lot that could probably help them find Will. He feels like everyone…
I was with you - how over the top it was. But, in today's world kids are doing really awful things to each other, so it seemed more believable, the more I considered it. I'll agree in the terms that we never used to hear about these horrible unspeakable acts, but now…every murderous kid has a stage. So this incident…
That's the way I thought about it all too. The discussion the other day was just too much for me, I couldn't join in. It just seemed fairly straight forward that never would Jonathan take those pictures as his main objective. And he new he made a mistake….that thread went so far off base. Jonathan is redeemed at this…
Yeah, I hear you. She's a pretty strong character. Credit to the writers for giving her more depth that what is typically allotted to the older sister type.
I had the same thought in that scene. Spoliers here too…………I also couldn't decide if her going through the tree was just flat out ballsy and she was just that awesome of a friend to Barb.. or typical "I'll just go off on my own and investigate this weird noise" girltrope in horror movies.
Nancy seems a lot more willingly to forgive/hang with Jonathan since she's figured out he can probably help find Barb. I think Nancy is a more shrewd operator then people probably give her credit for.
Probably the first time in her life she even knows what fun is.
