The new ones are very slabby. I was appalled when they came out at their actual Hugeness. Same wheelbase as the 300, a very full-sised car? Preposterous!

I chose it for it’s muted monochromatic magnificence... no messy pin striping or vinyl top to detract from its monumental massiveness.

In US America (20th Century, BA[Before Adam]) the proper term was Fender Skirt. Not an aeroplane so not a wheel spat. Those you show are just flat-topped wheel arches.
