Shortly after they began production on the Riga VEF during the war Russia occupied Latvia and production run of the camera approximately 3000 cameras were produced. Some of which the engraving on the back they engaged over “RIGA” and they placed a patch over the “Made in Latvia” and engraved “Made in USSR".
