Why does the Titanic get used for references like this? Sure. In 1912 it was the biggest ship in the world. But it was a 45,000 ton ship. Large-ish and even medium sized cruise ships have been well north of that for many decades. The Queen Mary is over 70,000 tons for example. The Titanic would now be considered a

Oh god, a little noise for a couple of seconds hurts your ears, grow up and ignore it.

Love telling this story:

Following too closely. The context is what makes it dumb.

Look it up how they’ve failed to actually make it cheaper for NASA and how they’ve missed just about any deadline and technical compencency to make it to the moon.

SpaceX and Boeing are continuous shitshows who seems to get even the basics right.

OK, totally going to hell for this.

Plus I will take that V6 over the TT I4 in the Taco. Nissan gets a lot of hate but they sure can make a good V6.

I actually like this thing. Looks better than the Tacoma IMO

Old locomotives respond well to a little tender loving and care...

Ragebait will definitely get you clicks, but well thought of articles can too. I remember Jalopnik used to have some really good interview articles and investigate articles. Can we get back to that? I feel like the only reason I'm still here is the comment section and it's a hot or miss if that is even working.

You are just wrong. ANY extra interior lighting is going to cause your pupils to dilate more than they should and diminish your night vision. This is just science and not up for debate. A car interior should look like this at night, and I’d even say that they have the gauge brightness a bit to high even here.

$900 million in federal grants....

I”m going to second Boston. My dad grew up there and instantly reverts to a Masshole when he crosses the state line going back home.

So not a state, but DC, and it’s pretty easy to tell why:

1) No reciprocity with MD or VA. This means those drivers can rack up thousands (I mean like $3000) in tickets with ZERO requirement to pay. No points, no impounding, and you don’t even get pulled over when you’re in the District.

2) Fake tags. It’s quite odd

Virginia- the only state where you can be thrown in jail for moderate speeding.

For me I’ll pick Georgia. The drivers absolutely suck at whatever they are doing and that can range from lane weaving so fast they come within a couple of inches or drivers who just sit in the left lane not allowing others to pass. Don’t get me started on driving through Atlanta on 75 because that is just a dystopian

Make DC a state and it wins this list.

Georgia.

Just hit 400k with our 07 GX470, will never sell and your was way nicer than mine.
