The Protege5 was a good car. If you look at any car from 20 years ago, they’re all lame and slow compared to today’s cars and that’s not really a fair assessment. The Protege5 also came with a 1.8L that provided adequate performance. I had a roommate that bought a 99 Protege ES sedan with the 1.8 and a 5 speed and it

A HANS device and full roll cage doesn’t meet FMVSS standards...

I used to ride rear facing in a Volvo wagon when i was a kid. I have made it this far.

Quartz is excellent. But the movement has been long refined and is cheap. So, for me, the absolute upper limit is $500.

The point isn’t that quartz watches are bad, it’s that they’re charging automatic prices for what amounts to cheap, plastic toy watches that aren’t much different than a loony toons breakfast cereal watch (in terms of materials).

WTF is this article doing on Jalop? Bad editorial choice.

The plane is 33 years old. So... yeah... seems an unfair dig at Boeing, frankly. But, it sure doesn’t help their case any...

“Per the company, the cab “detected that there may be a risk of a person within that crowd who had fallen down, and decided to carefully initiate a passing maneuver when the opposing lane was clear to move around what could be an obstacle and a safety concern.””

This is not directed at you Brad - just a comment on the backwards thinking of lawmakers.

Do you think they will actually figure out how to make this work? My 2024 CX-30 brakes for ghosts all the time. It’s really really annoying and I’m actually worried that I may get rear ended one of these days.

The scary thing is that he actually thinks that way.  When he took over Twitter, one of his first cost-saving measures was to simply stop paying rent on all the company’s office spaces.

If I lay off everyone, I won’t have to pay any salaries at all.

Ha! Let’s kneecap the one thing (Superchargers) that set Tesla apart from anyone else at this point.

The people who want to walk around naked are almost never the people you want to see walking around naked.

Self serve buffet? I know where I’m putting the onion rings!

Had a acquaintance talk me into visiting a nudist ”resort” a few years back when I was in my 40s; I was the youngest one there and some things cannot be unseen. Hope the employees get combat pay and counseling

“I got taken advantage of!”
