You have perfectly described my experience with Super Mario Galaxy. I did not like it! But I forced myself to finish it (at least the main campaign, not even close to 100% of star bits or whatever) because I am apparently the only person on Earth who didn’t like it all that much. I own an unopened copy of Super Mario

This serves as another reminder that we, as gaming consumers, can do our part by refusing to buy games on G2A and other such key resellers.  If you think a game is worth paying for, buy it from the source. Otherwise, you’re most likely giving money to these thieves / scammers, and not the developers who actually

Hooray, GamerCat is back. Now everyone can go back to complaining about Penny Arcade.

In my mind: “Let the Battles Begin!” from Final Fantasy VII
In reality: “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” by War

They did include Contra (Lance Bomber and Bill Bomber in the video above) and added characters from Castlevania, Silent Hill, and Gradius in an update last year.  It’s a great little game if you like Bomberman, check it out on Switch as it’s been out since launch and should be marked down in many places.

I moved to San Francisco a few months ago from out of state, and you could hear a pin drop outside right now. I’ve been flipping around local news stations and looking at webcams... nothing. No jubilant celebrations in the street, no fans dancing and cheering, just another Friday night in the Bay Area. Not saying they

The announcer for the Quest 64 TV ad you posted there sure sounds an awful lot like John St. John to me. Was Duke Nukem himself really promoting this terrible game? xD

This video was outstanding! More like this, please

I believe that is your second Monty Python reference this year, sir. Well done

At long last (again), the rest of the nation will be made to pronounce the name of our state correctly.

Hi Tim! Sorry if this was previously asked and answered, but could you tell me the name / source of the track you use for the music bed off the top and under the title cards at 2:09, etc.? I frequently hear it in your videos and I really like it and want to steal it for myself

I can’t remember where I saw this, but someone with GDQ said that’s exactly why they decided to skip Super Metroid this year; it’s a very risky game to RTA or race, because there is a high possibility of failure. It’s also been run many, many times, and they wanted to give other games a chance in the spotlight. I love

Totally agreed, Jason - I have no special technical aptitude or skill, but I built my own PC simply by doing research and watching a few instructional videos on YouTube. It’s surprisingly simple and affordable, and best of all it makes upgrading or adding components far easier, since you’re already familiar with the

Hello Tim Rogers, I would like to request one Stick Shift Action Games video, please. Thank you!

As a Rangers fan, I have no sympathy. They’ve had a team for barely 20 years and they’ve already won two World Series. We’ve waited 45+ and are not going back any time soon

Agreed, Chris — I think it’s a reasonably safe assumption that a Vita-sized Switch Mini or something similar is about two years away. Better battery life and portability, but without detachable Joy-Con.

Worth mentioning one of the (very few) Western releases for 3DS in 2017 dropped just last week: 80s Overdrive. It’s a stylish racer that riffs on OutRun, with a surprising amount of depth and a terrific soundtrack. Easily the best $10 I’ve spent on a 3DS game this year.

[I guess you could say Metroid: Samus Returns is

Tim, I absolutely love these localization videos. Please keep them coming!

If anything, SEGA is hoping for strong sales — they still own the IP (note the “licensed by SEGA” at the end of the trailer), so they get a cut from every game sold, I assume.
