Lost in the blinding whiteness of the tundraaaaaaaaa
I bought it at launch and I’m playing it for the first time. So no. (Loving it BTW)
I really loved Child of Light. Amazing soundtrack; charming visuals; touching story; engrossing combat system. One of my favorite Wii U titles. I hope Ubisoft supports more unique titles like this in the future.
I’m in the TV-docked mode most of the time camp. I only play handheld when I’m traveling. But I do love the term Switch-hitter Chris; you should get Kotaku to print up some T-shirts xD
I’m more excited about that last photo, as I played that very machine at Barcade when I visited New York last month.
The Super Famicom and PAL Super NES are so, SO much better-looking than the North American SNES. What was Nintendo of America thinking?
Ahh that’s right, it was a pack-in game with the console, wasn’t it. Thanks!
Great article, Chris, but I am curious where you came up with the $100 - $200 figure for Mario’s Tennis. I’m a collector and I paid about $10 for a copy earlier this year, although that was for the cart and manual only, no box. I wouldn’t pay more than $50 for it CIB, unless it’s sealed / unopened (I couldn’t tell…
Tim, please keep reviewing all the games
I got Mario + Rabbids. This is honestly the first internet quiz I ever took with results that I can agree with!
This doesn’t make any sense, but it doesn’t appear to be a joke... some overzealous lawyer probably made them add it. Unless the cartridge is made of flammable material and contains some kind of overclocking coprocessor that can generate copious amounts of heat, I don’t believe it’s possible for an SNES to catch fire…
Don’t knock Ys Seven - it’s been 14 YEARS since the last main series release in that franchise! That’s Duke Nukem-level development hell right there
It’s not just stores. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft will not allow any publisher to release an AO-rated game on any of their platforms. Only two console games have ever received an AO rating: GTA San Andreas and Thrill Kill, in both cases after risque content was discovered post-release and subsequently fixed in later…
I quit backing crowdfunded games after Mighty No. 9. I find they typically don’t meet my expectations. Reading other commenters, I see this trailer is actually consistent with what many expected, so I do hope they get what they paid for
Agreed. I enjoyed the book in the same way I enjoy a mindless action flick or an objectively bad but addictive video game. I read it for a light summer activity a few years ago, not because I was expecting the next Gravity’s Rainbow. I’m sure the movie will be terrible too, in much the same way as the film…
Like most Rangers fans, I have gone through all the emotions over the last 48 hours.
The window has slammed shut, and I fear they are back to being a mediocre / bad team for the next several years. I hope I’m wrong.
They did, and the stadium reporter interviewed him and made him Fan of the Game.
We’re the same franchise that built a statue in honor of the guy Josh Hamilton killed during a game.
FWIW, later in the game the stadium reporter interviewed the kid and his family, and they made him the “Fan of the Game” with a take-home bag of Rangers swag.
Better than nothing? No, it isn’t. It’s ludicrous, idiotic, and very, very Nintendo.
