Killer Instinct coming to PS4, eh?

Thank you (until Viacom hunts down and destroys these, too)

Interesting wording in the headline there, San Antonio Express-News.

I’ve been listening to GiivaSunner’s channel for years. Makes getting through the work day so much easier.

Super Mario RPG is a watershed game for me personally. I never had any interest in RPGs of any genre, particularly JRPGs. I thought they looked too complicated, with their seemingly endless nested menus and hundreds of items, and stiff-looking turn-based combat. I didn’t even try Super Mario RPG until 2009, on Wii

Same here - I’ve been surprised by how many of my friends have talked about Pokemon memories lately, when I had no idea they’d ever held a Game Boy / GBA / DS. It really is a game for everyone.

That was here in Atlanta yesterday. I work next door to the World Congress Center. Fortunately I had the day off. Not a fan of politics OR large unruly crowds and traffic.

I think the fast food analogy is an apt one. I’m enjoying FFEX so far, but I probably wouldn’t have even been interested if it didn’t have the Final Fantasy pedigree. I never tried Monster Hunter because I didn’t want to invest that much time; FFEX seems like a game I can just pick up and play a little bit here and

Like everyone else said, it’s Flash-based and that is a big problem. Flash is well-established as effing garbage and I have it blocked in Chrome. I can disable the Flash-blocker for this, but I find the video locks up if I try to make it full-screen.

Missed opportunity for a headline, re Griffey:
The Kid’s in the Hall

I’m a little surprised “Holy Shit Cloud is in Smash Bros.” didn’t make this list. (Especially with its original headline, “Jesus Fucking Christ Cloud is in Smash”)

Regarding the quote and story about India’s game market — aren’t game consoles banned there? Are mobile games considered acceptable? India has some unusual tech and culture laws, so I always assumed that was why its gaming community is so small.

I saw the movie in 2D and it had that trailer too. I remarked to my friend, “This movie has been made SO MANY TIMES already!”

Mostly because it’s never turned on. HA! I keed, I keed. I play mine all the time.

This. Happened to me more than once. It was a legal defense for attempted murder in some states

BACK IN MY DAY WE DIDN’T HAVE CHECKPOINTS AT ALL, WE HAD TO LEAVE THE NES RUNNING ALL NIGHT IF WE DIDN’T WANT TO START OVER, YOU YOUNG WHIPPERSNAPPER GAMERS ARE SPOILED BY AUTOSAVES etc.

I quit putting any stock in Famitsu reviews after I noticed a fairly consistent trend of nearly every game getting 28 out of 40 or higher, roughly equivalent to 7/10, regardless of how other critics felt about the same titles.

I own the 3DS version and it’s a perfectly competent version of Tetris, very straightforward without much fluff, and works fine. I sort of prefer its predecessor Tetris: Axis because it has a little more variety. But I play the Game Boy Virtual Console version more than either of the 3-D titles.

I’ve had bad luck with Kickstarter backing (as far as games go, anyway). To date:

I happen to be replaying FFVII right now, but on PS Vita, as in the original, unaltered PlayStation 1997 version. I would likely enjoy the game a lot more if it had these options and the upgraded visuals. :/
