I live right up the road from Solyndra. Terrible to hear about what happened, but my god those buildings are gorgeous.

The internet is (more) serious business.

Doesn't matter. Just get insurance. Anybody who has high priced gear should get insurance. It is ridiculously cheap for personal property insurance (for what you get out of it). I have $6500 dollars worth of camera equipment insured for 100 dollars a year. A $700 dollar laptop costs a few bucks. Totally worth

Only 6,000 dollars? Sign me up for two! :p

Would you be willing to do all of that (minus wearing white) if the cars were free?

It helps sell the product, which makes money. Its business, don't get too upset about it. Apple does the same thing. So does Google, and, oh, every other company.

How would you even get 1.4 fps at any resolution? Not a speed question, but a lighting question. The amount of light needed for such an endevour is intense. 1.5 million fps is 10 stops more light than 1/1000. That is 1000 times the amount of light than needed for a 1/1000 shutter speed!

That was fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

What? Talent has nothing to do with buying expensive tools? Who knew.

Woah I never realized that.

What are they going to say? Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture Picture? Haha

I don't think jwardell expected anybody from Chicago to read gizmodo.

Facebook was probably designing these changes far before Google+ was announced.

Complaining is fine, I agree people are free to say as they want. I've just had too many people mention the new Facebook is horrible and confusing and that they are lost. The only thing that changed was the news ticker and some combination of 'Top feed' and 'newest posts'.

One thing I really like about the news feed: I can keep up with a popular status update without getting a notification on the top bar every minute.

It is a free service, its their choice on how it is designed, and how people use it.

Damn right. I don't understand the hatred for this new change, its very small. I guess I can't comprehend why people hate change so much.
