But see: Your Fundamental Contitutionally recognizerd right to travel anywhere the ___ you want.

So someone jumps in front of your vehicle to stop you with their bicycle and their body while someone else tries to break out your windows (which you can clearly see in the video) and you don’t think flooring it and getting out of there is a good idea? I’m sorry he hit someone, but it’s completely understandable.

There

The other fun part about car spotting in Detroit are the manufacturer’s testing mules.  With a keen eye you can spot hot new models a year or two before they’re officially “out and about.”

They are handy if you have an aggressive tune or if your bypass solenoid is stuck or whatever other reasons could lead to overboost. You know how that Subaru life goes.

You forgot about the ECU re-programming. That probably adds like 15 lbs by itself.

It doesn’t. Erin doesn’t know what the heck she is writing about. The package ships around 20lbs. That’s the weight of all of the components, including the calibration tool that you plug in momentarily to execute the new tune. To install the new throttle body, throttle body adapter, and CAI, you first have to remove

20hp in a car like that is noticeable, but I suspect the better throttle response and better transmission mapping will be more noticeable.

In other news: Lamborghini is still Lamborghini even after the Audi takeover.

Exactly right.  Harley, the Digital Equipment Company of motorcycles.

You are forgetting the AMF years.  And the employees saved the company.   Not the board.

So Harley is the next Kodak.

You’d hope that they’d be aware of the fact that their market niche is rapidly drying up and blowing away as their core demographic grows more and more decrepit. I live in the town where Kodak was founded. I can tell you exactly what happens when you refuse to get with the times.

You pivot to “branding”:

Yeah, people will tend to shit on a company when it’s sales are declining in a market that over all is growing. They were arrogant, and still are, and proclaiming their board as have the right experience, have a deep understanding of our company and its markets” when the company is in the weak situation it is shows

Harley has held the title of biggest motorcycle producer in the states for decades largely because it hasn’t had much in the way of domestic competition for most of that time.

Turns out there’s a limit to their market after all. They could always downsize and exist as a niche maker, but investors aren’t going to like that.

As Bob Dylan so aptly put it: “...The times they are a-changin...”
