For its time, the Citroën DS, no contest. For all time, either the latest Rolls-Royce Phantom or the Mercedes 600 Grosser (which licensed parts of the Citroën technology).

I’ve been saying this for a while. It’s depressing how much stuff GM pioneered and then dumped. GM should have been Tesla, but instead of setting up a separate division to build electric cars, they shelved all the work they’d done on the EV-1 (which had a small but passionate following) and moved on. Same thing with

The sad part is that the Aztek looks so normal today. And better than many.

Why does it feel like it’s actually getting hotter?

I mean.... yeah oddly I don’t hate it. Good on him.

This rocks, actually

Totally agreed, you’re gonna have to find someone who has nostalgia for one of these and wants the nicest one they can find. Anyone else would just buy a newer one for the same money, or buy a less pristine one for considerably less money.

I suppose I could see some millionaire who loves their current 2005 XJR wanting to pick this up as a replacement. Otherwise I can’t see who’d pay $33k when $20k probably buys you a similarly nice one with a few more miles but a recent maintenance history.

Many can afford to buy a Jag, few can afford to fix one.

This happened months ago... and you’re only just noticing the story now?

NP all day. Any clean example of an enthusiast or other interesting car for under $10k is NP now (I said this on yesterday’s too), and this has the bonus of being an actually pretty decent car. The 5-letter is the one you want, and this is about as clean as you could hope for without spending triple the money on a

Thank you Europe.  At least someone is looking out for even the minimal semblance of sanity.  I read the phrase “touch screen wipers” in some comment, here, good god could there be a worse method?!?

Nope, those are not going the way of the dodo! At least not completely.

I don’t think people understand just how cheap used Jags can get. I just picked up an XK8 for $8,500 (you guys should run the reader submission I sent emailed about it)

Ha! I’m going add the need for a garage with glass floors, with a dedicated entertaining space below, offering views of the collection above!

Oh, c’mon haters.
But I do want to offer this:
If you’re gonna display your car, display your car.
I’m thinking some kind of a rotating rotisserie kind of thing, where you can spin the whole car around, upside down, I mean, so you can admire all the under bits.
If you’re claiming your car is a Rothko and you’re not

I want to say Chrysler PT, but as I look at photos to add (which you can’t do anymore on Jalopnik, is no one working on fixing the code?) I might be wrong. Is it the precursor to the Murano convertible, or a cheeky runabout?

6'6" here. The NC Miata is the only one I get in and out and safely drive. C’est la vie.

I sold my Elise and got a Miata because it was easier to get in and out of.

But it’s not that hard to get out of. But you need to develop a different technique.”
