I disagree partially. A stock one that is decently taken care of is a great car. My 62 AH Sprite (Midget) has been nothing but a pleasure. I find that driving it frequently really helps keep everything in perfect order.

David, you need to find an electric motor shop to fix/rewind that generator. It’s actually not a terribly difficult job for them, and turnaround can be as fast as a day or two. It’s typically not cost effective for small stuff like that, but in some cases (like yours) it’s all you can do.

Then I guess you’ll have to be REALLY good with fiberglass because you’re going to need to make your own replacement panels.
