Gotta say I was getting a kick out of Rebel, perhaps because my Father is in the market for one of those heart valve. Even so, it’s cool to see Katey back, too bad not for long.

Don’t know how true it is, but my father (now 96 years old) once told me that gasoline rationing was actually designed to conserve tires. He says that we had plenty of gas, but rubber for tires not so much, but it was easier for the government to control the sale of gas.

In Florida, there is a law that the ambulance companies must accept whatever the person’s insurance company pays.

Today there is someone on the local FB page selling gas cans for $15 each. She seems to have a bunch of them. In the meantime, I drove yesterday from Spring Hill (just South of Homosassa) down to Clearwater and back, and saw no gas stations with long lines or out of gas signs.

I was 19 years old and finishing out my Summer job with a local moving company in Baltimore. I had been working with the same driver all year, but he failed to show up that day. We had been driving an International Cab Over with a 28ft trailer, fairly typical for the day.

Well, my current RX7 gets about the same mileage as my Grand Cherokee Hemi, so I guess I am just beyond caring. I have NEVER bought a vehicle because of fuel mileage, and I think I’ve done OK.

    Bite your tongue.

A bunch of us were talking about this last night. I insisted that the accessories were powered by a smaller battery, and the others in the group told me I was crazy. Egg on their face.

History repeating itself, for sure. I am old enough to remember the gas shortages back in the 70's. Lining up the night before, 10 gallon maximum purchase, chasing gas tankers around to see where they were heading.

So last night I couldn’t sleep, and ended up watching old Top Gear reruns from season 12, I think. In it, Clarkson goes bonkers over the Fiat Abarth. Interesting coincidence, I guess.

I love seeing people do this to cars. What you have here is a decent looking ride which has absolutely no practical use because IT DOESN’T HAVE A TAILGATE!!!”

THIS. If I were waiting there, and they recognized him and put him in the front of the line, I would have had to say something.

Don’t be surprised if someone else picks them up. I actually enjoyed this series, even though the only thing Holmes and Watson about it were the names of some of the characters.

This article brought back something that I did a long time ago. My wife and I had just gotten married, and she was working while I continued college. It was a local school, now a university, which had special parking for Seniors, pretty much right in the middle of campus. I was a Junior at the time.

I was one of the fools who fell into the Hisense trap last Thanksgiving, and I hate the damn thing. Great picture and sound, but the operating system sucks and the thing constantly forgets my log in information for the various streaming services. Other people I know with Hisense tv’s have the same problems.

Fiat 850 Spider. 850 cc’s of pure power. Felt like you were doing 100 mph at 30. Great little car until it rusted away.

This shows that you have never attempted to enter or leave a Caterham. Trust me. It is infinitely easier to enter one of these than a Caterham. In fact, it’s easier to get into one of these than it is an MGA. And there is more room in them, also.

Shit happens. Back in the day I was unloading new Fords from the truck. One came off the truck with “LTD” markings on the driver’s side and “XL” markings on the passenger side. The interiors were also marked that way. I guess the trim guys on each side of the production line got different orders somehow.

Don’t know if this will “paste” or not, but just came across this 1991 Suzuki Samarai on Facebook Marketplace for $12,000. The thing looks like the NP/ND car and is in equally nice condition. Looks like the NP/ND car was underpriced.

For those unaware, turtles are protected down here in Florida, and people go to great lengths to avoid running over them. They also go to great lengths to avoid disturbing their habitats, often to the point of re-routing a highway to go around one.
