Pontiac Aztek. Vilified for years, this design has proven itself to be way ahead of its time. Many Crossovers on the road now owe their basic styling to the Aztek.

It seems to me that I remember part of the tire problem was that people were not checking their tire pressures and were running with underinflated tires. Soon after this, the Feds mandated in car tire monitoring, if I recall.
Around here, the price of gas jumped almost 20 cents a gallon when Biden won the election.
Wow! That was brutal! But, I’ve got to admit they made some very good points. I don’t know what Ford was thinking about when they decided to introduce what had previously been called a Torino Elite as the “new” T Bird. As we know, the T Bird has never really recovered from this.
Having spent several years as a Car Jockey at Towson Ford and then as night manager at Hertz/BWI Airport, I have driven just about every high end car out there.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Torch - jeez, guy, you are sentencing this guy to an eternity of sitting on the side of the road. A Sprite is a great little car, but it cannot be a daily driver.
So, I have a salt water pool. Wonder if that would make a difference.
Well, yes. Three years ago I bought a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Hemi Tailhawk which had 245,000 on the clock. Well maintained and beautiful, I decided to give it to my daughter who happens to live in Oakland, CA. So, a 4500 mile trip, 13 Airbnb’s and 15 car museums later, I pulled up to her house in Oakland.
Nice looking truck and all of that, but the big downside for me is the lack of an extended cab. As one who drove a non-extended cab S10 for many years, this is a serious fail and I would never buy one again.
This headline brought back memories!! My wife and I were the proud owners of a 1980 Datsun 310. We bought the car new, and kept it for many years. One day, it decided not to run. I pulled off the air cleaner to spray some cleaner down the carb, and the thing started right up. Put the air cleaner back on, car stopped…
I like it. Never knew such a thing existed. The third pedal makes me like it even more. This thing would be a hit at the local Cruises and car shows.
The day before the Covid quarantine started here in Florida, I bought a 1991 RX7 convertible for $3500. The car was in immaculate shape, including the interior. It DID need an engine rebuild, which cost me $3200. Now I have a car 9 years older than this one, probably more fun to drive, and it looks good, too.
In the early 70's, I was second shift manager at the Hertz operation at what was then Baltimore Washington Int’l AP. When it snowed, things got real slow and boring. So, for entertainment, we would take the biggest cars on the lot, T-Birds, Lincolns, etc., out to the parking lots and slide them around like idiots.…
Girls just want to have fun!
If the body is as clean as it looks in the pictures, this is the ideal project car. No rust to fix, no paint needed.
Many years ago I bought a used Mazda RX2, about 4 years old. The back seat and side panels STILL had the original plastic from the factory. I thought that was pretty cool.
You people just figuring this out? I’m 73 years old and I figured this out around the time I turned 21. You all are late to the party.
I drive a ‘91 RX7 FC convertible on a pretty regular basis. The car always amazes me as to how far advanced and comfortable it still is in comparison to other newer cars I have driven.
My wife and I had an Aero T Bird that suddenly didn’t want to shift. Not knowing anything about automatic transmissions, I took it to the local dealer who charged me $100+ for a trans flush and such. Didn’t work. Return to the deal again, they swore thy could not make it duplicate the problem.
It has always been my impression that the TVR guys build a really nice looking car, and then they head down to the local junkyard to find an engine that might fit.
