A friend of mine just bought an old Escort wagon with a stick shift, totally rust free, runs like a clock, decent interior, for $500.

Bought a 280ZX once. Car ran like hell, but was a total rust bucket. I used a LOT of POR15 and screen mesh on this car.

Had the opportunity to buy one like this last year for about the same money. Except the one I was looking at had the turbo and a 5 speed. I was close, but couldn’t swing it at the time.

I got all excited about this until I saw that you have to download their app and all of the stuff that goes with it.

A neighbor of mine at the time bought one of these, and it really was a neat little car. We lived way our in the country, and many people had 4wD trucks at the time because of the really bad snow storms. My neighbor’s Eagle wagon got through all of that, and was a pretty nice ride. Gee, how about another Jeep? If you liked that one so much, upgrade. For $7500 you can probably find a nice used Grand Cherokee in the 2009-2011 range. These newer ones ride like a dream, and are just as tough. 

After observing for the past two weeks the frenzy surrounding the marketing of these cookies by a friend and her daughter, I thank God almost daily that my own daughter showed no interest at all in Girl Scouts. 

The first thing that jumped out at me was the $200 cap on prescriptions. Seriously? I know people who pay more than that per month now.

Replace all of those helicoils with Time Serts or Big Serts. You will be a lot happier.

As a former over the road truck driver and visitor to many truck stops and rest areas, I can tell you that one’s skin color has no relationship to one’s lack of personal hygiene.

I think someone on Facebook posted this a couple of days ago. Someone commented that he was just a dumb, old guy. I responded that he was a dumb, old guy who hit the state up for $160,000 (I think that was the cash award in the lawsuit).  Not so dumb, after all. 

Saw one of these driving through the Publix lot just last week. The thing looked brand new, driven by a “boomer” like myself.

Seriously? You think you feel small in this, you need to find an original Mini Cooper, and then you will see how small you can be on the road.

We have those in our neighborhood, and people are always driving over them and wrecking the bushes. The county would not let us put anything substantial in the center, for fear someone would get hurt, I guess.

The best sandwiches at Hardee’s are the ones made with sourdough bread. I found out the other night that you could order their chicken club on it, and it was heaven.

I WANT this car. It just seems to be the perfect car for me.
