Automatic = CP. Sorry.
Automatic = CP. Sorry.
Well, no, because as a general rule I haven’t seen a BMW that I have actually liked since the mid 80's, especially the newer ones that basically look like Buicks to me.
So, you don’t like to stand out in the crowd, huh? That’s OK. My daily drivers are a TR8 and an RX7 FC. I hate driving what everybody else drives.
What can I say. The Leaf is one of the most boring looking cars I can think of. I tend to like cars that are a bit different and quirky. I love the old Trans Ams with all of the scoops and decals, I really like the Juke’s and I have kind of come around to the idea that Aztec’s were not all that bad - they are starting…
Frankly, not a thing. These cars have no interest to me. Sorry.
In a slightly different vane, I was once coming down I75 in my 18 wheeler when I noticed a NY tagged car full of adults and children with a rear tire just about ready to blow out (it was a really old Ford LTD). I tried to get the driver’s attention, to no avail. So, I did what I had to do to force them to pull off at…
Yeah, but realistically the BMW is a lot better looking and unusual car. I’d have the BMW.
Had one of these. Paid $475 for it back in the late 90's. Ran like stink, but the undercarriage was pretty much rotted away, along with the spare tire hole in the trunk. I rebuilt all of the rusted undercarriage and other holes with POR15 painted fiberglass sheets. The plug wires were so old, that when it rained, you…
I think I see the thought process here. Make Biden the candidate, and then pick from the rest of the field the most progressive, left wing “gonna give you everything” candidate. The truth is that Biden is obviously “not all there” mentally and physically and will be lucky to last a year in the high pressure…
I have driven original Cobras back in the day, and seen a driven various replicas. They all had Ford engines. Whoever decided to build this car WAS on the crack pipe.
What kind of scares me about this is the power. I once had an 850 Spider, and that little sumbitch was pretty quick in it’s day, even with that little motor in the rear. Having three times that power would have probably gotten me in a lot of trouble.
I was reading the blow by blow of the debate on some website or another and suddenly THIS jumps out at me. WTF!!! Many years ago I was visiting someone in Philadelphia during election time, and one candidate had big trucks rolling through the neighborhoods handing out free pumpkins. At that time, it also was not…
I know about this from bitter experience. Currently putting the final touches on a 4.0 for my TR8. During the assembly, oil pressure problems actually caused the crankshaft to bend, believe it or not. This is why I recommended the TimeSerts, as the original 3.5 block had the damn head bolts pull the threads, and I…
Sorry, but in my personal opinion the Grand Cherokee SRT is the best bang for the buck on the used car circuit. If you like your current Grand Cherokee, you will LOVE the big hemi powered one.
I’d like to see where you can get a replacement new motor for $1500. Getting a used one just opens you up for the same problems. Ask me how I know.
Agreed - headgasket. Do yourself a favor, and dump the stretch bolts and get a set of studs from ARP. Also, drill out the holes in the head and insert TimeSerts in there. A major problem with these is that overheating messes up the aluminum block, and then the damn stretch bolts just yank the threads right out.
Before this, there was “The Pirates of Silicon Valley”. I remember first watching this back in the day and gaining what I thought then (and still believe) that this was an actual portrayal of events leading to Apple and Microsoft. If you’ve not heard of it, I think it is available on Amazon.
We had to get rid of him somehow, so we sent him up to you all in DC.
A fellow club member has an Aston Martin, and every time he shows up everyone else just goes nuts. Personally, I think the styling kind of timeless, like most Jaguars.
Well, you wouldn’t be a automotive journalist if you cold not find SOMETHING wrong with the car you were evaluating. If this is the only problem, looks like they have a winner, here. I’d buy one, pillar or no pillar.
