Didn’t we go through this back in the late 70's and early 80's? Back then, there were cars that were modified to be sold in California and then there were those basically identical models without engine modifications sold in the rest of the country.

I’ll “Meetcha at Ameche’s!”, favorite cruising just North of Baltimore.
Looks like it’s happening today, roo.
I’m thinking McDonald’s kind of created this problem themselves when they started giving away free WiFi. This, of course, encourages the two hour coffee break in their store.
THIS!!!!! One of the best TV shows of the era!!
I have always felt that one of the reasons for all of the engine problems was that many of them came with automatics. Pretty tough to redline when you are driving an auto.
We used these as busses at Hertz back in the 70's. They were pretty easy to drive.
Looks like The Stig found a new gig.
Yeah. Pretty much. Still worth the trip, though.
Not put off by the seats at all. They are probably there to protect perfectly fine seats from the sun and other elements. I have a set similar on my MGB.
The only TP I allow in my house is Scott’s. The only times I have had a toilet back up is when somebody in the house decided to try something else. It’s also great for septic tanks, no matter what the competitors would have you believe.
As a former OTR driver, I’ve gotta say that this crap scared the hell out of me. I know what these rigs can do when they get out of control, and the idea that a computer can make a better decision in a split second is scary as hell.
THIS!!!! My first thought when I started the article.
And apparently the CCTV system was not working due to some “glitch”.
I’m thinking that the trunk was a holdover from when the Japanese were basically copying British cars. Kind of reminds me of the “boot” on an original Mini, which were also pretty useless.
Just read a murder mystery set in Texas where the hog problem was brought up. Apparently this is a real big problem out there, and scary as shit, frankly. Also, from what I have read, these feral hogs are NOT good eating.
Do they come in any other color? I swear the only ones I have seen around town are red.
A friend of my daughter’s showed up with one of these and kept bragging on the seats. I made him sit in my 2005 Grand Cherokee, and it shut him right up. Then he started about the engine, and I showed him the Hemi. That shut him up for good.
Hey! I remember staying in that motel about 55 years ago when my family took a road trip out West!
These cars don’t look to be in too bad a shape, just pretty dusty with some tire issues. They are organized and parked in some semblance of order. She even mentioned that they had the ‘59 Caddy Convertible up and running, surprisingly enough. This is NOT what you think of when you hear of a hoarder. Looks like this…
