Well, first you have to FIND one of those boxes. I spent about a hour in Nashville last year trying to find one to put a couple of postcards in. They are getting almost as hard to find as phone boths.

Funny. I just saw a “Cost of Maintenance” comparison on Facebook. BMW was #1 with an average cost of $17,800 over ten years. The #2 was Mercedes, at $12,900 over ten years.

Best Subs down here in Florida? Publix. Knocks Subway out of the park, every time.

Yeah, really normal. I just read that it is snowing in Vegas. When does THAT happen?

Well, as to that, I am 70 , worked in Maryland, and NEVER missed as day of work because I didn’t have AWD or even FWD. Can’t remember my Father ever missing work because of snow, either, and he worked a good 30 miles away from our house.

Ummm. Can anybody say “weather”? The North and Mid West have just been through the worst Winter that I can remember. Who the hell goes out to buy a car when there is a couple of feet of snow on the ground?

Back in the day, one of our salesmen left the keys in a 428 Cobra Jet Torino. It lasted about 1/2 hour before someone came by and decided that they needed to “test ride” the car.

I rmeember back in the day waiting for a new company supplied Caprice Classic wagon. It seemed to take forever. When the dealler finally called me and I went in to pick up the car, it was obvious that they had been using it for the “lunch” wagon. The back seat was filled with old McDonald’s wrappers, etc.

Unusual for a Mazda. My RX7 doesn’t even use that much.

Couple of dings like that can be fixed easily without major bodywork. I’m more concerned about the dealer’s attitude. I would have to check this car out very carefully before actually giving this guy any money.

Chicago BS as usual. I surmise that these guys were paid off by someone.

Thank you for this. You are absolutely correct.

This brings to mind a phone call I got the other day. It was from Walmart, and apparently referenced a comment I had made about their stores on some Facebook post or another.

It just seemed very one sided to me. And it sure as hell didn’t look like Chris was enjoying too much.

Full disclosure. I voted CP because the second generation Probe was a disappointment in almost every way.

As a former truck driver, I have to agree with this.

When will these celebrities just SHUT UP? Why on earth did this woman, who is loved and respected throughout the world, decide that she had to comment on this? Doesn’t she have “people” around her to tell her to keep her mouth shut?

Back a long time ago, I was unloading a new big Ford two door from a delivery truck. The right side of the car was decked out as an LTD, down to the door panels and outside markings.

Seems like I see a hell of a lot of Miatas out there lately, kind of like Mustangs. Everybody seems to have one.

When my son was out of college and was ready to buy his first new car, he did a hell of a lot of research. Keep in mind he is not a motorhead like his old man, and was looking for something properly priced that would run for a long time without him having to work on it.
