Agreed. The ways of the BBC seem to be counter-intuitive.

I watched it last week. (I won’t say how.)
The bottom line here: Always tip in cash. Always.
A guy down the street bought 4 wheelers for all of his grandchildren, ages 5 on up. I asked him if he was crazy. He pointed out that he could electronically control the top speed of each vehicle, AND if said vehicle got out of a certain range from his phone, it would SHUT DOWN.
Not down here in Florida. Just sriving to the grocery store, you can see a half dozen good work trucks sitting out for sale for less than $1500. Just sayin’.
I actually remember driving these things back in my Hertz days. We had a couple on the lot, along with a bunch of TBirds. One of the perks of working there was my choice of car for the evening or weekend - whatever was available on the lot. I took one of these things hoe a couple of times. My wife was impressed, as…
I found this on a different page on FB and posted it to “our” page. One of the comments on the original page was from a guy who said that he had done this himself, but in tandem with another guy.
Our recycling doesn’t even take glass, let alone plastic bags and such.
Terrific story. Thanks for taking the time to put it on paper.
I’ve got no problem with that, and I am sure that he would have no problem with it, either. Just pointing out that not all people of this age have problems.
On the contrarian side, my 93 year old Dad drives his LaCross on a daily basis with no trouble whatsoever. On a recent visit, he demonstrated to me that he was competent and able to control the car as well or better than many younger drivers out there.
My first question. Why is this car for sale at such a reduced price and so “young”? There is something wrong here that is not being stated by the owner. Sometimes a deal that is too good to be true is just that.
I am starting to worry a bit about you people out there. This thing is gorgeous! Maybe it’s my age, but I would LOVE to have this gem in my driveway. The price is a bit steep, but then again negotiation is the key.
OMG!!! Beverly Hills Chihuahua? I don’t know how I can contain myself!!!
Way back when, I was the night time manager at Hertz at Baltimore Washington Airport. We LOVED snowy nights. There is just nothing like sliding around the parking lots in LTD’s and TBirds. And pretty much any other car we happened to be driving at the moment.
A lot of us MG owners have the same problem. Many of us have solved the problem by taking the brightness control rheostat out of the circuit. It’s amazing how much brighter the lights get when that electical “chicane” is out of the picture.
My Grandfather owned one of these back in the day. He would tell anyone who would listen that it was “the best car he has ever driven”.
I’ve got kind of a different take on this, after seeing it last night. First, that 65 year old has got balls of steel. On top of everything else, he was using one hand to try to dial his phone! And then, when it was over, he’s just standing there, not even breathing hard.
An RX7FC Convertable and a TR8 Roadster.
Things I regret:
