THIS. Right here. I would have considered this at a lower price.
Where can one obtain one or more Jalopnik decals???
I hate to say “I told you so.” Wait, no I don’t. I TOLD YOU SO.
This past Summer a friend’s battery for his back up house generator simply exploded. Never did find the reason - wasn’t on charge or anything. Could have been the heat.
It just occured to me that you had driving lights in your front clip. I have been searching for lights to fit those damn holes!!!! Where did you get them, please????
Back when there were tolls on I95 through Richmond, my buddy and I would blast through the collection lanes in his Opel GT. We would toss the coin, and then try to beat the green light. Way before traffic cams and license recognition, though.
I really wanted to vote NP on this, cecause I think it would be a fun car to drive. But, too many miles and indications (to me) that the care had not been serviced with any kind of regularity (discolored valve cover from spilled oil? Really?) has dropped it to CP for me. Worth more like about $4500, maybe.
THIS ia what I was gonna say. You guys are overthinking this WAY too much.
1Let me just say that if photoshopping was a thing back then, this would have been a prime example. These cars were NOT low, long and sleek as depicted in this heavily altered picture. They were kind of boxy and quite a bit taller.
Not only were they great looking, but they were nice riding cars, too. My neighbor bought a new one and I remember being impressed with the ride and sophistication of the vehicle.
You guys aree worrying too damn much and way too prepared. All you need is a good Classi Car Insurance towing policy and maybe, AAA, just in case. I have taken many over 1000 mile trips in my MGB and RX7. Does shit happen? Yeah. But usually nothing that is gonna be fixed with the junk you have loaded up the trunk with.
No, they are a solid steel beam covered with rubber, plus their very hefty mounts. Guarantee they are close to 100 pounds, and then you add in the back bumper.
First, get your minds out of the gutter. The implications of the name were not even a thought in anyone’s mind when these were out.
Rear bumpers not so bad. Front, a little excessive and HEAVY. And the front of the car is so low that I expect it would just slide right under the sypical SUV on the road today.
I wish someone would tell me the secret to putting pictures on here. That’s what my car looks like, but in Midas Gold and a TR8.
I would have loved to have gone NP on this, because I own one and would love it to worth that.
OK, so you take an already hard to find car and turn it into something it’s not. It’s possible that I would consider paying 15 large for a Bricklin in very good condition, because they were pretty cool cars back in the day and I wouldn’t mind having one to just drive around and go to the car shows.
Fourth Gear. J.B.Hunt was always at the bottom of the scale, anyway, and they limited their trucks to 55 MPH, which just makes it worse if you are being paid by the mile.
Well, Mazda’s are pretty well known to run for a long, long time engine and driveline wise. I had a Probe (Mazda 6) that ran for over 300,000 miles before I gave it away.
