If I had all the time in the world, I would like to look up what that Milwaukee ordinance says that prohibits the use of chewing tobacco in the ballpark. I’ve been going to bars in various places around the country for thirteen years, and the only place I’ve ever been given free samples of cigarettes and chewing

That door was scary looking. There was the bit where he struggled to get it open, then went through some lines while his head was under it, and all I was thinking was that the poor guy doesn’t even have hair to cover up where the scar will be.

You might be surprised...

If they realized that everyone there could go to school, they wouldn’t be getting schooled quite so frequently.

Upset about Prop 13? What, have you never seen that one movie, “Pay it Backwards?”

Onr would think that the Cubs winning would support the idea of wish-granters flying through the air supporting hopeless causes.

Ha! You aren’t kidding about that “hella difficult to drive in” bit. I used to feel uncomfortable driving atound in my Mustang out here. Hell, I was barely okay with my motorcycle. How can a guy driving a small box truck feel comfortable when he can’t even make a right turn without hitting the curb?

I think you’re entirely right about what did in the cab companies. I think there are countless places that would deliver pizza for me, but I prefer the ones where I hit a couple buttons and it’s on its way..

That always bugs me whenever I see some of this ridesharing going on. They’re clearly the same thing. If these laws we have for taxis and so on are worthwhile, they should also apply to Uber. If they aren’t worthwhile, they’re stupid protectionism, and they should be gone.

Could we rant some more? I wouldn’t mind these tech buses using Muni stops if they were using Muni-style buses, but they aren’t. Muni buses are designed for quick pickup and dropoff. Single level, two doors, all that. It works well with a system that needs to have stops on absurdly narrow streets. These luxury tech

I wouldn’t say it’s one of the worst, but it’s pretty frigging vapid. I mean, we don’t even have to leave this page to find a Marvel movie I liked less. “Guardians of the Galaxy” had almost nothing interesting happening for me. Both those films were visual spectacles, but just felt really color-by-numbers to me.

Now that Thanksgiving has received its due respect, you all have my permission to start the Christmas onslaught. Is it just that I’ve stopped going anywhere but work and home to sleep, and never watch television with ads, or did Christmas season start later this year than usual? I remember seeing ads back in early

So you’re saying that for those of us on the West coast, the Overwatch tournament starts at high noon?

At least it doesn’t have ads?

I’ve previously worked in business and in law, and every time I saw that something had to be faxed in, I was stunned. I was even more stunned that it happened ALL THE TIME. Now that I’m a teacher, though, I kind of get it. I don’t accept electronic turn ins because first, with paper it can all get processed the same

Oh, and Orwell, maybe some of that old hacker game whose name escapes me right now, and the Telltale Batman game. It figures that Telltale would finally start releasing episodes for a game I like and own in a timely fashion, and I’m just too busy, too tired, or too playing Witchery to actually play it.

Hopefully, nothing tomorrow. It’s the first day of my Thanksgiving vacation, and I’ve told myself that if I wake up at all tomorrow, it will be too early. Gotta catch up on some sleep! Failing that, I think I’m going to try some Kerbal Space Program. I’ve messed around with it a bit, and would really like to get good

I’m curious, how did that big update they promised for October work out? I remember hearing about them saying they were going to do it, then the news cycle moved on and No Man’s Sky forgotten.

I bought it last weekend after I finally found the damn thing (::Checks Steam:: ::checks GOG:: ::shrugs:: ::Starts The Witcher 3::), and I’m enjoying it. I just finished the first mission, and I don’t think I missed anything by not playing the first game. So far, it’s been very granular, without much interest in the

Man, I wanted to buy Titanfall 2 last weekend, but I just couldn’t find the damned thing! I checked GoG, not really believing it would be there yet. I checked Steam, because everything is on Steam. Then I even checked the Windows Store, because the first game was an Xbox exclusive. Never did I think to click that
