Personally, most 5 year Olds I know don’t act as well or know as much as elmo. I also think elmo is no longer suppose to be 3. Remember he takes care of his goldfish by himself and knows a lot more than some of the other characters.

You shouldn’t hate elmo so much. The reason he’s more likeable and doesn’t teach as many valuable lessons is because people weren’t watching sesame street anymore. Like me the cast and writers probably thought losing some time teaching meaningful lessons to kids was better than losing the show altogether.
