The conference championship games are arguably the best games to watch of the season! If someone is going to be a casual fan, this should be one of the first things they learn.

I always wondered why they have the door on the left side. If you want to be different, why not have it on the right? If you parallel park you won't have to open the door into traffic. It would be a lot safer for your passenger who has to crawl out of the back seat.

I boarded a flight in Germany that had the front half of the passengers board from the front door, and the rear half of the passengers board from the back door. I'd imagine that would involve more complexity for the ground crew, but we did board rather quickly.
