An elephant for a dime is only a good deal if you need an elephant... and have a dime. In other words, if you’re happy with what you got, waiting can only benefit you.

They merged the styling from the 3000GT, thinking the new car would appear to both markets. You can see design queues from both cars. The last generation seemed to give up that idea and seemed like a refreshed late 90's model.

I enjoyed seeing pac-man, but the geek side of me thinks they should have gone with ms. pac-man. Afterall her (original) game outsold his.

Me: please drive me from the South Hills to the North Hills

From what I understand, the Volt only seats 4 people. There are only 2 seats in the back.

Do yourself a favor and don’t listen to this advice from Zillow. Just pay attention to the other lifehacker articles that say to just live your life and be happy. Don’t live in a boring gray house.

Does the Aston sound better simply because of exhaust design? I have the feeling that they just let a little more sound out the exhaust as a result of watching a lot of Top Gear.

GIMP can run some photoshop plugins, I wonder if these would work with it.

I think others have mentioned it, but if you add the Chrome extension you can set it up to open in its own window, taskbar entry, etc. Which would also make it work nicely cross-platform (i.e. Linux).

I hung a piece of plastic gutter under my desk and put one of these in it.

I’ve tried to use Mint numerous times and it never goes well. I can’t get away from using plain-old Quicken - the easy register view and reports are just too appealing. Is there anything like Quicken that runs on the web? I’ve even considered just hosting it on a VM somewhere.

Are you talking about Yodlee “MoneyCenter”? It looks interesting.

You know you only have to upgrade Quicken every 3 years, right? Each version is sunset after 3 years.

I’ve noticed a lot of enterprising folks will purchase things when they are deeply discounted them try to flip them on ebay for a small profit. I’m completely ok with this - the price is still lower than the store.

I’d argue scheduling in March is the right way to do it. You might pay the same dollar amount, but the installer won’t be booked out a couple months like they may be in August.

Daniel Tiger: where all the women wear pants, and the men... don’t?

On Linux I’ve been using M64Py as a frontend for Mupen64Plus, which makes setup much easier. It works, but I still find myself missing Project64 on Windows.

I think they are rolling it into the main Evernote plugin.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you can get this changed in the future. Tivo has been known to allow people to switch to lifetime on older boxes, especially after you’ve paid the equivalent of a lifetime contract.

YES - you can do this with a Chromecast. Much like this setup, it has it’s pros and cons. You’ll need an HDMI audio splicer (unless your stereo has HDMI). I wrote a small quip about it on my blog a few years ago: http://blog.jjerome.com/2013/12/chrome…
