You don't seem to understand goalkeeping. What is an "especially good" save? A high-flying, acrobatic dive? Those are great, no argument there. But more often than not, a shot is either able to be saved or it's not.

That's certainly fair, but there's also a rather large group of people who can't wait to tell you how stupid and boring soccer is. If you don't like it, that's fine, but you could just shut up about it instead of being obnoxious. That road definitely goes both ways.

Fair enough, though I think a lot of the backlash against people who don't like soccer is provoked by those same people denigrating soccer, either because they don't like it or as some kind of personal cultural statement.

I was kind of shocked that this is 2014's 4th of July movie. I think that in itself is shocking. What happened to release dates and which studios decided to forgo one of the biggest movie weekends of the summer so this could be the tent pole holding up the holiday weekend?
