Margaery? She rocked his world ;-)

That's a good point.

It's very possible that when he sees it blow up he thinks that his mother is there too - he doesn't know that she didn't go to the Sept, and doesn't know why the Mountain stopped him from leaving. So from his viewpoint in that moment, he's lost (and essentially responsible for killing) not only the love of his life

This one wasn't so bad… but the first time they did that a few weeks ago was really hard to watch.

Wondering the same thing myself… maybe Edmure isn't as dumb as he looks.

You know what would have made the final Arya scene awesome?

Cue "Into the West" from Lord of the Rings…

At least Varys was already gone. She wouldn't have been too happy to know that he and Tyrion are (were?) allies…

Exactly. I get honor, especially in their society. But really? I agree, the scene didn't convey it well.

That's exactly what I was thinking, even w/out Dany being there: Tyrion, go send out the two dragons!!

One thing I haven't seen commented on yet: Edmure? WTF!!!!!

At the time Sansa sent Brienne with the letter, the siege of Riverrun hadn't begun. Or at least, Sansa didn't know about it - the only info Sansa had from Littlefinger was that Blackfish had re-taken Riverrun. If, for example, the Freys had all been killed and the Crown didn't care about Riverrun (or had abandoned

Re: Qyburn - yea, I'm thinking something similar, not just where Tyrion is, but also what's brewing over in Mereen. Think Cersei might not want a chance to get some dragon power? And maybe the Ironborn fleet? Remember that Varys just left for Westeros to "get support" - but what does that really mean? Even his

Didn't think of that but yea, they do!

Remember the scene where the two guys come to the Keep w/ a dwarf's head, hoping to collect the reward for killing Tyrion? Cersei tells them to get rid of it, but Qyburn steps in and says "it may be useful in my work." ;-)

I found it interesting that the Three-Eyed Raven identified Howland as "Meera's father" - not "Meera and Jojen." I could see her being the one to tell him too… but I could also see Bran doing it.

Considering that Olenna was capable of murdering Joffrey, I certainly hope she has a purpose and isn't just hanging out making thorny comments while she waits for someone to save her grandkids… When we last saw her (S5), she was scheming w/ Littlefinger - there has to be something brewing and she's a bit like him -

Let's see:
Brokedown Palace - Harrenhall, Winterfell, Castle Black (really all the Watch castles), Valyria, the Red Keep (in Dany's visions)… But the song isn't actually about buildings anyway…

Cool link, thx! The dire wolf one was too obvious, like anyone could've chosen to call them 'dire wolves' just because they sound ominous w/out it being a GD reference. But the others mentioned are much more subtle.

Brilliant!! fwiw, GRRM was at the final Dead 'Fare Thee Well' shows in Chi-town.
